What is Sandblasting?
Sandblasting is used to smooth, shape, and clean a hard surface by forcing solid particles across its surface at high speeds. Sandblasting can be used to remove rust, paint, and other coatings from many different types of metals.

What Blasting Material Options Are Available At CMF?
We offer several choices for your blasting needs - most products and pieces are suited to be cleaned and finished with a standard silica sandblasting material. There are certain scenarios, however, where a more precise touch is needed in your blast material.
At CMF, we also offer bead blasting, which has many applications and is mainly used on stainless steel products. This process discharges glass beads over the surface of your stainless steel products and can be used to mask inconsistencies such as welding marks. The bead blasting process is popular among companies in the food service industry, and can be used to create a satin or matte finish on your metal products such as commercial kitchen counter tops and other stainless steel kitchen equipment.
What Is The Maximum Size Piece That Can Be Sandblasted?
At Central Minnesota Finishing Inc., our facility is large enough to blast metal pieces up to 40 feet in length! Our large-capacity facility allows CMF to take on nearly any sandblasting project you can imagine!
